#6 - Th 5 C's of Success
“The 5C’s Of Success ”
🛫 Uncovering The Aviation Mindset - Episode 6 with Ed Chitren 🛬
Summary
I am delighted to be joined by another old mate of mine, Ed Chitren.
Ed and I worked together for the Nissan North America Flight Department, where he was the Gulfstream and Hawker fleet maintenance director.
Ed now heads the team at a US West Coast-based corporate flight department.
In this conversation, we discuss Ed's 5C’s model for approaching maintenance inputs and other challenges in life.
The 5C model consists of staying calm, being conscious of the ripple effects of an operational interruption, effective communication, cooperation, and coordination.
Ed and I emphasise the importance of teamwork, trust, and avoiding blame in resolving issues.
We also discuss the significance of remaining calm, gathering information, and working together to find solutions.
The 5C model can be applied to various situations in aviation and life.
The conversation explores multiple themes related to managing change, utilising resources, teamwork, healthy competition, admitting mistakes, and finding solutions to problems.
