#1 - C-17 Pilot under gunfire

Welcome aboard, everyone, to the first episode of the Uncovering The Aviation Mindset Podcast!

I am delighted to be joined by my friend Gav Scott as my first guest 🙂

Gav is a Captain with a UK-based commercial VIP operation on the Gulfstream 650.  Before that, he served in the military as a C17 Captain.

In this conversation, we discuss the importance of mindset, confidence, and emotional well-being in high-stress environments.

Gav shares his experiences as a pilot in the military and the challenges he faced in maintaining a positive mindset.

We discuss the dangers of mission creep and the need for self-reflection and objective advice.

We also emphasise the importance of recognising imposter syndrome and building confidence.

The conversation highlights the value of positive reinforcement and mentoring and the power of communication and empathy in creating a supportive environment.
